Exposure therapy is one of the most effective tools for treat all anxiety and related disorders including Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Agoraphobia, Panic Disorder, Separation Anxiety, Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Exposure Therapy is also being used to treat issues like Substance Abuse, Sexual Dysfunction and Personality Disorders. Despite this, few clinical social workers receive instruction about these techniques nor guidance on providing them to client. In this workshop Dr. Schmidt will illustrate direct clinical application of Exposure therapy to client care in the treatment of various DSM 5 diagnoses.
